Blue-Jay, Dawn, Sabrina, and Tre was at Wal-Mart grocery shopping for the neighborhood block party tomorrow. Dawn been throwing these parties now every Fourth of July for the last 5 years, inviting every Crip in Tidewater to the event. She wanted the homies to think of it as a family reunion. It was her way of keeping all the Locs acquainted with each other. That way they always knew who was who.

“So how yo mom and dad feel about you being pregnant?” Dawn asked.

‘Why did they have to leave me alone with this psycho?’ Sabrina thought. She was mad that Tre and O.G. Blue-Jay took separate shopping carts.

“My mom and dad…uhh...they...” Sabrina looked away nervously, refusing to make eye contact with Dawn. “You know how parents are.”

“You didn’t tell them yet, did you?”

When Sabrina shook her head, Dawn question was answered. It only confirmed what she already knew. That her and Tre were hiding the pregnancy from her parents.

“So, when you going to tell them?” Dawn asked sarcastically. “On your due date?”

Sabrina looked uncomfortable like she didn’t want to answer that question. Dawn stopped pushing the cart and tried to rub the young girl shoulder in an attempt to help her relax. Sabrina flinched at the touch of Dawn’s hand.

“Cuz, you need to chill out,” Dawn warned. She tried to touch her again and Sabrina jumped back. She bumped into a food rack behind her and knocked over a hundred cans of tuna fish down the aisle. I'm trying my hardest to like this bitch, but she making it impossible. Dawn balled up her fist and glared at Sabrina. “Get the fuck away from me now! Go find Tre and bother him wit yo scary ass, but don’t bring that shit round me!”

As Sabrina walked off, the only thing she could think about was how glad she was to be getting away from Dawn. Everybody thought she lost her mind after she killed J.G., but that wasn’t the truth. The truth was she was just afraid of Dawn. Sabrina was only jumpy like this when she was around her.

There Sabrina was with someone else’s blood and brains all over her shirt, but the look of Dawn is what sent chills down her spine. The woman looked pure evil in that abandoned slave house. Sabrina never seen someone eyes so cold her whole life. It was almost like she got off on seeing Sabrina covered in J.G.’s blood. Sabrina swore Dawn was the reincarnation of the Anti-Christ and that by killing J.G. she sold her soul to the devil. She just hoped she had a chance to get it back before her own demise.

Tre wasn’t surprised to see Sabrina coming down the aisle without Dawn. He knew his mom would run her off sooner or later.

“So what happened this time?” Tre asked as he walked up to Sabrina and left his father alone to push the cart.

Sabrina hugged Tre. “I knocked down a couple cans of tuna.”

“You sure it was only a couple of cans,” Tre asked as he kissed Sabrina.
